Edmund is a saxophonist with more than forty years of experience, having performed with legends such as Mel Tormé, Eddie Daniels, and Ernie Andrews. He spent 28 years as a musician at Disneyland, serving as steward during his final years there.

For 25 years, he served on the Executive Board of the Orange County Musicians Union, Local 7, becoming President in 2020 during the pandemic.

Edmund has served on the boards of Californians for the Arts and California Arts Advocates, and currently serves on the board of Arts Orange County. As a delegate to the Orange County Labor Federation, he advocates for musicians’ rights before state legislatures and also serves on the COPE committee.

As Vice President of the Professional Musicians of California, Edmund and other California AFM officers pushed for the passage of AB-5, a bill aimed at preventing the misclassification of employees as independent contractors. Currently, the PMC is working to pass AB-412, a bill designed to protect intellectual property from unauthorized AI scraping.

Alongside Local 7 members, Edmund helped create concert series bringing live music to underserved communities across Southern California.
