Leonard DiCosimo

Leonard DiCosimo is the President of the Cleveland Federation of Musicians, AFM Local 4. Prior to his election to the AFM International Executive Board, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the North Shore AFL-CIO Federation of Labor, the State of Ohio’s largest labor organization representing 150 affiliated unions and 85,000 working people in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga Counties.

An accomplished musical artist, DiCosimo performs with a variety of Northeast Ohio songwriters and has recorded and released two collections of his own songs. He holds degrees in composition with a major in voice from Cleveland State University and Carnegie-Mellon University. As a singer, he sang in productions for Cleveland Opera, Pittsburgh Opera and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

DiCosimo served on the conducting faculty of Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music and Lakeland College directing choral ensembles, musical theatre productions and teaching a variety of conducting classes. He also played bass for numerous theatrical productions and has supported a vast array of talent ranging from Phyllis Diller to the Fat Boys.
