The AFM International Executive Board is pleased to advise that the next Convention of the AFM will be held at the Delta Hotels Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, the beautiful capital city of Canada – our first Canadian-held Convention since 1973!

Please take note of the following:

• DATES – The actual days of the 2026 Convention will be different from past conventions, so please mark your calendars accordingly –
  • Registration will begin on Friday, June 19, 2026.
  • The Convention will start on Saturday, June 20, 2026 and conclude on Tuesday, June 23, 2026
• ROOM RATES – Hotel rates are higher outside of the Las Vegas market. The standard room rate at the Delta Hotels Ottawa City Centre will be $249 CAD plus 18% local taxes, for a total of $293.92 CAD per night. That comes to $205.16 USD at today’s currency exchange rate (which fluctuates daily). As per the AFM bylaws, the Federation will reimburse at the standard room rate for one delegate from each Local and Player Conference (and one Diversity Delegate if the Local is entitled to one), but additional delegates are at each Local’s or Conference’s expense, so please plan and budget accordingly.
• PASSPORTS – US Delegates will need their passports to fly to Ottawa. We urge US delegates, as soon as possible, to make sure that their passports are current. Passports expiring within 6 months of the date of travel to another country may not be accepted for admission to another country. The unfolding evisceration of the US federal bureaucracy by the new US administration will undoubtedly slow down passport application processing, so delegates shouldn’t wait until the last minute to attend to their passports.
