Fair Pay For ALL Musicians

The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the CLASSICS Act as a part of a music licensing reform package last month. The Music Modernization Act introduced in the Senate this week combines reforms outlined in the CLASSICS Act, Music Modernization Act, and AMP Act into a single bill. Digital radio makes billions of dollars each year from music made before 1972, but many artists receive nothing because of ambiguity in copyright laws. The Music Modernization Act rights this wrong by establishing copyright protection for those who recorded music before 1972.

We us close to fixing our broken copyright laws and ensuing musicians who recorded before 1972 are fairly paid. Now it’s up to the Senate.  Contact your U.S. Senators to help finally fix our broken copyright system.
